Subject: We Pray For One Another
The Point: The church is strengthened as we pray
The Passage: Ephesians 3:14-21
Study The Bible: Ephesians 3:14-17a
1). Pray for the power and presence of Christ to be manifested through His church.
- For this reason I kneel before this Father
- from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.
- I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit,
17a. and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
Lasting truths from Ephesians 3:14-17a
- God uses prayer to strengthen His church.
- Christians should pray for the spiritual growth of their church.
- Prayer keeps the church grounded in their relationship with Christ.
Ephesians 3:17b-19
2). Pray for a deeper sense of God’s love.
17b. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,
- may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,
- and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Lasting truths from Ephesians 3:17b-19
- Love gives us roots and a solid
- Prayer helps us to better understand God’s love for us.
- WE must continue to grow spiritually because we have not fully comprehended God’s fullness.
Ephesians 3:20-21
3). Pray that God would be glorified through His church
- Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—
- to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Lasting truths from Ephesians 3:20-21
- God may exceed our expectations in answering prayer.
- God answers prayer to bring glory to Himself.
- God lavishes His glory on the church to in turn bring glory to Himself.

1). Why is it important that prayers be kingdom focused rather than merely individualistic?
2). How does it strengthen the church when people are focused on praying for one another?
3). What is the relationship between spiritual growth and prayer?
4). How can churches become more focused on praying for one another?
